Thanks to Fleischlego from 'Noobs unter Beschuss' we now have a new installer. It seemed my very own creation of a installer didn't work properly on all operating systems.

Anyway...
Fleischlego was nice enough to make a LINUX serverfiles .tar file...
for all you serveradmins that run on Linux... and dont want to install winrar or alike.

To get one or both of the downloads... head over to: ModDB

Have Fun!!

CHANGELIST

Took me... uhm... 5 months... (and a bit)... but its done.

InfantryMod for Battlefield 2. :D

I started working on this because a good friend of mine (Paus Paul) was complaining to me about the grenadelauncher... (and alike).
Anyway... during the conversation I realized... I could try and make it happen.
So I modded some vanilla BF2 maps... and started creating my own map: Eagle Island. Pretty soon I was contacted by **[THT]**Spleasure, who was the 'main man' behind InfantryMod '42.
He gave me adminrights to this site... and ftp-access for testingpurposes(truely appreciated, mate).

Within a month I released version 0.9... and some more would follow pretty fast... but neither did convince me nor the public.

Anyway...
I continued working hard (and sometimes 'till 6am)... but it was worth it. :D
When Crosstown (by Paus Paul) was finished... and my own map was nearly done... version 1.1 was released. (which i deleted shortly after... because I had added an old version of Crosstown).

So... after a LOT of trial and error... I think this version is really worth the download (only 65MB).

So...
go get it... and have fun!!

Greetz,

Tom van der Lek aka MasterTom[NL].

We got notified by one of our visitors that the Infantry Mod 2 was mentioned in the Gamespy Daily newsletter of December 22nd.
Unfortunately, the readme in the mentioned file (beta 0.9.7) contains a little error.

Finally it is there, the Infantry mod version 1.3. Already notorious before its release, you can now enjoy hopefully less buggy maps and one additional map: DDay Sainte M?re l'Eglise

I finally found time to spend on the website. Here it is, far from perfect, but with a PHP database behind it for easy editing.
